How To: Make An Ottoman From A Coffee Table

STEP 1 - find a thrift coffee table (the size/shape you want)

STEP 2 - stain the legs desired color

STEP 3 - mark where you want your button tufts. drill the holes.

STEP 4 - add 2" foam to the top and sides underneath the overhang so the surface is even on all sides.

STEP 5 - add batting around the sides. take off the legs if you can.

STEP 6 - add your fabric (add a little extra to the size of the top and sides) over top. using an upholstery needle and thread, sew on your buttons! staple the thread tightly to the bottom.

STEP 7 - wrap your corners and staple fabric to the underneath. add your legs.

VOILA! your new ottoman is complete!
